There are no more fixed funding windows for Collective X’s co-payment programmes. From 17 August, employer and aggregator partners can apply for co-payment support at any time, whenever they have a cohort of young people ready to enter an approved training pathway.
This is a significant shift for South Africa’s digital skills ecosystem, and it’s driven by one thing: the scale and proven impact of the Digital Skills Impact Fund.
Why We’re Making This Change
The Digital Skills Impact Fund has grown into one of the most effective outcomes-based models in South Africa’s digital skills ecosystem, and it’s still growing. With R200 million committed for the year ahead, and a track record of real, verified outcomes, the old model of periodic application windows no longer reflects the size or the pace of what the Fund can support.
Put simply: the Fund is big enough, and proven enough, that partners shouldn’t have to wait for a window to open. It’s open. All the time.
The Impact So Far
Well over 1,000 young people have been, or currently are, on learning programmes co-supported by Collective X through the Digital Skills Impact Fund.
That’s 1,000+ stories of unemployed youth moving through SFIA-aligned training, work-integrated learning (WIL), and into quality employment, co-funded by outcomes, not inputs.
What This Means for Employer and Aggregator Partners
Whether you’re supporting beneficiaries through the Full Route-to-Competence or the WIL-only Pathway, there are no deadlines to track and no windows to miss. You can bring your cohort to us as and when you’re ready.
